NOTICE OF ELECTION OF OAKLAND COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY 2025-2026 OFFICERS COMMITTEE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Oakland County Democratic Party Election of Officers for the 2025-2026 Administration will be held at 17100 12 Mile Road, Southfield, County of Oakland on

Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Time: Registration: 6:00 pm

Election begins at 7:00 pm

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Election will be conducted for the purpose of electing officers to the following offices:

Chair

Statutory Vice Chair

Vice Chair (three 3 positions)

Treasurer

Recording Secretary

Corresponding Secretary

Parliamentarian

Officers-at-Large (six 6 positions)

To QUALIFY as a candidate for Office:

Eligibility:

    • In accordance with MDP bylaws – must have been an MDP member by November 10, 2024 under the 30 day rule 
    • OCDP Bylaws, Article IV, Section 1; and OCDP Standing Rules, Rule #5 and Rule #6
      • Must be an OCDP member
      • Submit a Declaration of Candidacy
        • Declaration is due to Chair Nancy Quarles, no later than 11:59pm on December 3, 2024
  • Who can vote?
    • Newly elected 2025-2026 Executive Committee members
    • 2024 Democrat Candidates for the following offices:
      • Congressional candidates on the General ballot for 2024
      • State Representatives candidates on the ballot for 2024
      • County Wides on the General ballot for 2024
      • County Commissioners on the General ballot for 2024
      • Partisan candidates (Democrat) that appeared on the General Ballot in 2024
      • State Senators elected in 2022

All qualified candidates will be posted on OCDP website prior to the election.
